Metric 4-Link Roll Center Calculator

For use in the Setup Software, the rear roll center for a Metric 4-link rear suspension can be calculated using this Excel program. Just enter the measurements and the roll center height is calculated and entered where the Setup software asks for LEFT (RIGHT) PANHARD BAR HEIGHT. Sway Bar / Torsion Bar Rate Calculator

This calculator is a great learning tool to show the effect of arm length, bar length and bar size changes to Sway bars or Torsion bars. The calculator can be used for a sway bar or a torsion bar to find the rate at the mounting end of the arm. It is specifically designed for the three-piece NASCAR type sway bar, or torsion bars used in sprint cars. For one-piece stock type sway bars, the rate shown will be 10-15 percent higher than the actual rate of the bar because the steel used in stock one-piece bars has less tensile strength than that used in the three-piece or torsion bars. It is particularly important to use for sprint cars because the spring rate of the torsion bar is very hard to determine. Our Setup software, for the Straight Axle type car, requires knowledge of the torsion bar spring rate. You must have the Microsoft Excel reader or full program installed on your computer to work with this calculator.

Stagger Calculator

Finding the correct Stagger for your track is made easier using this calculator. If you know the Track Banking angle, Turn Diameter, Right Rear Tire circumference [in the calculator, substitute the word “circumference“ for “diameter”. This is an error in terminology we cannot fix at this time], and Track Width of the rear tires, you can calculate the correct stagger amount. You must have the Microsoft Excel reader or full program installed on your computer to work with this calculator.

Final Gear Ration After Change Calculator

If you have the need to change tire sizes, say from track to track, this calculator shows the new rear end gear ratio you need to run to maintain the final gear ratio you had before the change. Example: if you ran an 87” tire and had to go to an 85” tire, the gear ratio would need to increase by 0.12 (i.e. 5.25 to a 5.37). That could affect your acceleration if not corrected. You must have the Microsoft Excel reader or full program installed on your computer to work with this calculator.

If you know the Turn Diameter, Right Rear tire circumference [in the calculator, substitute the word “circumference“ for “diameter”. This is an error in terminology we cannot fix at this time], Engine RPM at mid-turn, Tranny Ratio and Rear End Gear ratio, you can find your G-force for your track.
